Video and Multimedia Intern

Position Description

First State FC is currently accepting applications for the position of Video & Multimedia Intern. The First State FC Internship program is designed to expose a highly-motivated individual to all aspects of operating a sports organization.

The Video & Multimedia Intern is responsible for helping create high quality video content to push across all team channels.

This internship is intended to support academic programs that provide and/or require internship experience for college credit and is ongoing. It is a non-paid position with flexible hours to reflect the need of your college credit requirements. Interns will be based at First State FC’s main office (1504 N. Broom St., Suite 1, Wilmington, DE 19806) but may also work remotely or from other locations as needed.

Hours are flexible depending on class schedule and the needs of the team. Some night and weekend hours may be involved, given the nature of the sports industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

-       Intern will play a crucial role in telling the story of First State FC’s season

-       Assist in creation of video content for the team’s media channels, including:

o   Video planning, filming, lighting, and video editing

o   Video content includes but is not limited to: live streaming our home games, interviews with players and coaches, training videos, filming practices

Qualifications

-       Proficient working with popular video editing software (Adobe, Final Cut, Corel, etc), as well as be proficient in creating video content for mobile

-       Proficient working across most social media seamlessly

-       Self-starting, motivated, with a strong work ethic

-       Demonstrated interest in sports (soccer preferred)

-       Previous experience in the sports industry a plus, but not required

-       Must be fluent with Office programs including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook

-       Ability to occasionally work irregular hours (nights/weekends) as necessary

Sales and Marketing Intern

Position Description

First State FC is currently accepting applications for the position of Sales and Marketing Intern. The First State FC Internship program is designed to expose a highly-motivated individual to all aspects of running a sports organization. The Intern is responsible for supporting the First State FC event team in sales and marketing operations, including; sponsorship sales/fulfillment, ticket marketing/sales/fulfillment, merchandise marketing/sales/fulfillment, social media management.

This internship is intended to support academic programs that provide and/or require internship experience for college credit and is ongoing. It is a non-paid position with flexible hours to reflect the need of your college credit requirements. Interns will be based at First State FC’s main office (1504 N. Broom St., Suite 1, Wilmington, DE 19806) but may also work remotely or from other locations as needed.

-       Assist in all aspects of preparation and execution of organizational marketing plan, to include:

o   Grassroots promotions

o   Social Media promotions

-       Assist in sales of tickets and sponsorships

-       Assist in researching potential sponsors and developing decks

-       Assist in merchandise planning, management, sales and marketing

-       Assist in managing team’s overall social media presence

-       Assist in media relations

Qualifications

-       Must be self-starting, motivated, with a strong work ethic

-       Must have creative problem-solving skills and be willing to think outside the box

-       Previous internships preferred

-       Demonstrated interest in sports (soccer preferred)

-       Previous experience in the sports industry a plus, but not required

-       Exceptional communications skills

-       Must be fluent with Office programs including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook

-       Desktop publishing/design skills (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator)

-       Ability to occasionally work irregular hours (nights/weekends) as necessary
